Business & Industry: Opportunities for Youth
A successful programme titled “Business & Industry: Opportunities for Youth” was organised on Sunday, 30 August 2026, at Mahatma Gandhi Sabha Bhavan, Navanagar, in collaboration with the Rifah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Navanagar–Bagalkot.
Around 100 participants, including men and women, attended the programme. The participants included traders, young people associated with start-ups, and youth aspiring to start their own businesses. The programme aimed to guide and empower young people by creating awareness about business opportunities, industry and trade, self-employment, and sustainable livelihoods.
Experts from various fields provided practical guidance on agriculture, fisheries, goat farming and marketing, the garment business, cluster formation, the hotel and hospitality industry, government schemes, financial assistance, microfinance, and other business opportunities. The question-and-answer and interactive sessions enabled participants to gain useful information and practical guidance for starting and expanding their businesses.
The programme was convened by Janab Asif Madgal Sahib, Ameer-e-Muqami, Bagalkot. Janab Rafiq Ahmed Sahib from Bidar provided valuable guidance and support throughout the programme. The collective efforts and cooperation of the members of Navanagar and Bagalkot, along with the dedicated contribution of Janab Irfan Salidar Sahib, Rifah representative, played an important role in making the programme a success.
The programme began with Tazkeer bil-Qur'an, delivered by Muhammad Yousuf Kesnur, Ameer-e-Muqami, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Navanagar. It concluded with impactful and inspiring closing remarks by Maulana Muhammad Yousuf Kanni Sahib, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karnataka.
Overall, the programme proved to be a successful and meaningful initiative in encouraging young people to explore opportunities in business and industry, become self-reliant, and contribute towards sustainable economic development.
