Tax Professionals and Advocates Converge for Insightful Discussions in Jaipur

Jaipur, August 2024 – The Rifah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rajasthan Chapter), in collaboration with the Council of Tax Professionals and JMCA, successfully hosted an event that brought together tax professionals, advocates, and business leaders to discuss critical issues in finance and business.

The event commenced with an engaging session by CA Akhlaq Hussain, who delivered a comprehensive analysis of the Budget for 2024-25. He highlighted key changes and discussed their implications for both businesses and individuals, offering valuable insights into the potential impact of these updates on the broader economic landscape.

The second session was led by CA Iftekhar Ahmed, who provided a detailed summary of recent changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). His presentation clarified the new regulations and their effects on business operations, ensuring that participants left with a clear understanding of the latest compliance requirements.

Following this, CA Mukhtyar Ahmed from Kaman Bharatpur shared his expertise on the strategies for growing a practice and addressing future challenges. He emphasized the importance of setting ambitious goals, expanding professional networks, and thinking beyond conventional boundaries to drive sustainable growth.

In a key segment of the event, Naim Rabbani, State President of Rifah Rajasthan introduced the mission, vision, and core values of Rifah. He highlighted Rifah’s role in empowering local economies, stressing that businesses should aim to be assets to the nation’s GDP rather than liabilities. Rabbani detailed Rifah’s initiatives in scaling up small businesses, organizing entrepreneurship and start-up workshops, and raising awareness about government schemes.

The event also featured a special address by MLA Adarsh Nagar, Rafiq Khan, who expressed his appreciation for the organizers and underscored the importance of such programs for the local community. His remarks resonated with attendees, reaffirming the value of these gatherings in fostering professional development and community engagement.

The final session of the day was conducted by CA Saiyum Khan, State President of Rifah Gujarat who presented an easy-to-understand overview of Ethical and Islamic Finance. He discussed the principles underlying these financial systems, explored how finance professionals can promote financial literacy, and highlighted the Rifah platform’s potential to enhance networking among professionals.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Adv. Sajjad Aziz, who thanked all participants and organizers for their contributions. He encouraged the continuation of similar events, noting the significant benefits they bring to both the professional community and the broader society.
