Bangalore - Networking with Malaysia Delegates

On September 20th, the Karnataka Rifah team, led by Janab Firoz Saheb, Karnataka State Convenor, along with Janab Aslam Jagidar Saheb, Karnataka Secretary – Membership Development, and Janab Arifullah Sab – Organization Secretary, arrived with 30 Rifah delegates from across Karnataka, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kerala to attend the grand opening ceremony of Franchise Malaysia at Shangri-la-Hotel. This event, led by Honourable Senator Fuziah Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade & Cost of Living, Malaysia, HE Saravanan Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, Mr. Muhd Fairuz Abdul Halim, Director of Franchise Development & Direct Selling Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Hizam Hanafiah, Committee Member of Malaysia Franchise Association, and Wan Ahmad Tarmizi Bin Wan Idris, Trade Consul at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai. The meeting started with a welcoming address by the Consul General, HE Saravana Kumar. Adding to the international flavor, eight franchise companies from Malaysia joined the gathering. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister underscored the significance of bolstering bilateral trade relations between the two nations. She also extended a warm welcome to Indian companies to explore opportunities for doing business in Malaysia, emphasizing Malaysia’s pressing need for essential commodities such as rice, sugar, and onions. The conversations with the Malaysian delegates were not only fruitful but also engaging. The meeting commenced at 9:30 am and concluded at 5:00 pm, making it a day of productive discussions and collaborations.
