RIFAH Bidar Chapter Hosts Business Opportunities Focused on Africa

Bidar, 10th August 2024: The RIFAH Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bidar Chapter successfully organized a program on business opportunities in African countries, held at the Bidar Gateway Hotel. The event saw the participation of international delegates from Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Ghana, along with local businessmen from the Bidar and Gulbarga districts in Karnataka, and the Latur and Udgir districts in Maharashtra.

The program commenced with a recitation of the Quran by Hafez Ateequllah Engineer, setting a spiritual tone for the discussions. In his opening remarks, Mr. Ashfaque, President of the RIFAH Bidar Chapter, emphasized the need to expand business horizons beyond India. He addressed the importance of overcoming misconceptions about the challenges of export and import, encouraging participants to take advantage of the government’s support in these ventures. He also highlighted the hand-holding assistance provided by RIFAH for those interested in international trade.

Participants had the opportunity to present their business profiles, fostering networking and enabling introductions to the international delegates. This exchange offered a valuable glimpse into the diverse business landscape represented at the event.

Mr. Aslam Jagirdar, President of the Gulbarga Chapter of RIFAH, delivered an inspiring address, drawing on the successes of the Prophets and the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in business. He emphasized that RIFAH is committed to continuing this legacy by empowering the Muslim community to contribute to the nation’s GDP.

Mr. Anis Mohammad, Head of International Business for RIFAH, shared his extensive experience in African markets, underscoring the vast opportunities available across the continent’s 54 countries, which are rich in natural resources and home to 1.3 billion people. He highlighted key sectors such as agriculture, food industries, machinery, and pharmaceuticals, where Indian businesses can thrive.

Mr. Adnan from A3HITECH presented his company’s profile, detailing its operations in Bidar and its expansion plans in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He highlighted the company’s expertise in software solutions for the healthcare sector, which are already being exported to Saudi Arabia.

The international delegates from Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Ghana provided detailed insights into the business opportunities in their respective countries and across Africa. They encouraged Indian entrepreneurs to engage directly with African markets, pointing out that while China is reaping significant benefits from trade with Africa, there is ample room for Indian businesses to establish direct ties. They assured the attendees that they would facilitate connections with trustworthy business partners in Africa to ensure successful and secure ventures.

The event concluded with a presidential address by Mr. Syed Mumtaz Mansoori, CEO of Rug Rel Components and Systems Pvt. Ltd. and President of the RIFAH Karnataka Chapter. He inspired the participants by emphasizing the visionary nature of successful businessmen, who always look to the future, and reinforced the importance of aligning business practices with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.

The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sirajudding S.K., followed by a lunch for all participants. The event was a resounding success, leaving attendees motivated and equipped with actionable insights for exploring business opportunities in Africa.
