Report on FMCG Training Program Event Overview: The FMCG Training Program was held on 7th July 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, focusing on Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products, such as shampoo, liquid wash, tile cleaner and similar items frequently purchased by customers. The event targeted three main audience groups: - Young entrepreneurs starting new businesses
- Women running home-based businesses
- Existing businessmen exploring new industries
The training aimed to provide insights into starting and succeeding in the FMCG industry. A total of 26 participants attended the event. Keynote Speakers: - Sultan Salahuddin, President of the Rifah CCI, Delhi Chapter
- The Chief Guest Mr Malik Akramuddin Ex. MSME Deputy Director (Chemical), Founder, and Chairman of Marjan Industries has given outstanding information for improving the skills and knowledge of participants and enhancing the capacity to develop, manage, and organize a business venture. Mr. Malik has also given very useful information on the selection of products, processes, manufacturing practices, and marketing involved. During the program, he has given practical hands-on demonstrations of some technology based on surfactants
Program Highlights: - The program was conducted by Mr. Rashid Kamal Lari, who provided valuable insights and guidance.
- During a one-on-one lunch session, Mr. Mohammad Hamzah, a manufacturer of packaging material, shared his expertise in automation, marketing, and distribution, focusing on sales and marketing tools.
Concluding Remarks: The concluding speech was delivered by Mr. Salahuddin Ahmad(Ex. National Admin of Rifah), who emphasized the importance of identifying and targeting specific customer segments within the FMCG industry. Key points included: - Treating each product as its own industry
- Focusing on niche markets like tyre cleaner, solar panel cleaning, or liquid wash in water-scarce areas
- Understanding and targeting premium customers, as exemplified by the dove soap aiming to serve premium segments rather than broader markets like life buoy.
Vote of Thanks: The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Mirza Rashid Baig, President of the Rifah South Delhi Unit, who expressed gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for making the event a success. RIFAH, Delhi is planning to organize such programs in other parts of Delhi and NCR as well where skill/talent is available to motivate them towards self-employment. |
