India-Kenya Business Conclave Series 2025 Marks a Milestone in Bilateral Trade Promotion

Following the successful business engagements in Tanzania, the Rifah Chamber of Commerce and Industry continued its East African mission by leading a 45-member multinational delegation to Kenya from May 15th to 18th, 2025. The delegation, comprising entrepreneurs primarily from India along with participants from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Zimbabwe, and Turkey, participated in a four-day series of high-impact business networking meets and market explorations.

The first event, held on May 15th at the Park Inn Banquet Hall in Nairobi, was the Kenya–India Business Conclave, conducted in collaboration with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Memon Jamaat – East Africa Chapter. On May 16th, the Eastleigh Business Networking Meet took place at Hotel Atis Banquet Hall in partnership with the Eastleigh Business District Association. The final event on May 17th, the Nairobi Business Conclave, was hosted at the Memon Villa Hall, South C, in collaboration with the Nasserpuri Memon Jamaat.

At all three conclaves, Mr. Mirza Afzal Baig, General Secretary of RIFAH, delivered the inaugural addresses, introducing RIFAH’s mission, vision, and achievements. These were followed by keynote remarks from leaders of the respective collaborative organizations, who warmly welcomed the Indian delegation and emphasized the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.

The delegates then introduced themselves and shared overviews of their businesses, identifying areas for synergy with the local business community. The conclaves provided a dynamic platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and the establishment of new commercial connections.

RIFAH Chairman, Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan, presided over each event, delivering thought-provoking speeches rooted in Islamic principles of trade and ethics. He highlighted lessons from the Qur’an and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), reinforcing the importance of trust, transparency, and integrity in business.

As a gesture of goodwill and mutual respect, RIFAH presented mementos to each of the partner organizations in recognition of their collaboration and support. Brother Anis Mohammad, the tour coordinator, concluded each session by expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah, the host organizations, delegates, and volunteers, acknowledging their contributions to the success of these historic gatherings.

Outside the formal sessions, the delegation engaged in tailored business visits and one-on-one interactions with local entrepreneurs. Several members also explored key cultural and economic landmarks, including the Giraffe Centre, Nairobi National Park, and the renowned Masai Mara Reserve, enriching their experience and understanding of Kenya’s vibrant landscape.

This landmark initiative reflects RIFAH’s continued commitment to fostering global business alliances, especially with African economies, and building bridges between entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to promote inclusive and ethical trade on an international scale.
